My Dossier is on the way...

Well around 2pm today I mailed my dossier to America World for the final check. If everything is as it should be, I will be DTC(dossier to China-for those of you new to the international adoption world). It was a very exciting moment, sealing that last Fed-Ex envelope. Once it left my hands I did have a nervous feeling in my stomach. I have been waiting for this moment since I began the paperchase in January. Now the real wait begins...It seems to be approximately 11 months to referral. Oh well, as my parents know I have quite a bit of clutter to deal with since the kitchen renovation! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

BAUER!

Ok, my Dad has educated me that Jack on 24 spells his name Bauer, like Eddie, not Bower. Sorry for this mistake, Ha!

Tagged!!

I was "tagged" several days ago but in the midst of kitchen renovation, working on the final steps of my dossier and a bad episode of food poisoning/stomach bug this weekend I am finally getting around to it. I am learning a little about blogging everyday. When someone is tagged you complete a list of some sort. I was "Tagged" by Joannah another single girl adopting through America World.

The topic is to list
Six Weird things about Me:

1) I do not like any sort of nuts(peanuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds, etc.) in cakes, brownies, cookies and so on. I do like them on there own!

2) When holding a pen or pencil I use my thumb, index, middle and ring fingers in order to write. My teachers always attempted to correct me but I still do it.

3) I don't like to swim in the Lake for fear of JAWS! Yes, I know that logically sharks are not found in my local lake but the fear exists.

4) I have to shave my legs everyday. OCD

5) My parents are still married! Give me a break, that is weird this day and time!

6) I finally watched 24-with Jack Bower for the first time this weekend. I rented the first 4 episodes of the first season. I must say alot happens for him in four hours, not a dull moment!

Thanks! Have a great week!

They say pace is slower in the South...

...as far as renovations go I know this to be true. It has been 2 weeks and the cabinets started to go in today. The hardwood floors look nice. Wayne, the contractor plans finish the kitchen by tuesday. I can't wait, I am tired of take-out!

***********Dear Sweet Daughter***********

As a girl I had a common dream, to be a mom someday.
My baby would have eyes of blue and hair the hue of hay.
But now my dreams have been transformed. New visions fill my head.
Now the tresses that I long to stroke are raven black instead.

And in my dreams those eyes are not so big or blue or round.
Now in my dreams they're almond shaped and colored cocoa brown.
And in my dreams my arms can stretch across enormous seas.
They reach half-way around the world and hold you close to me.

As you grow in your mother's womb, carefully knit together,
you're also growing in my heart, where you will stay forever.
And in my dreams the moment that your mother says good-bye,
I'll be right there to comfort you and hold you as you cry.

Our features may not look alike; we're different as can be.
But still I know the Father has created you for me.
And though I've not yet seen your face, or held your tiny hands,
and though we're half a world apart in very different lands.

I'll be right there to get you just as soon as God allows.
But 'til He says the time is right I give to you this vow.
I'll pray for your protection every night on bended knee.
For God will hold you in His arms, until you're here with me.
