Good Times!!

Well I just returned from my trip to Omaha to see my PT school buddies! We had a blast, 2 more infants were present and they are sooo sweet! We spent most of our time catching up with the events of the last year and re-living some moments in our past! One neat thing that happened was on Sunday morning during a power walk, I was discussing the adoption process with my friend that is contemplating international adoption. I told her she and her husband should look into going to a seminar. We attended her Church service later that morning and there was AWAA(my agency) in her church program stating they would be holding a seminar the following Saturday. To top it off, an America World family that brought their daughter home in Feb spoke at the end of the service. I remembered following their website. It was nice to be able to speak with them after the service. How remarkable is that!!

Ups and Downs

I received an email today from my family coordinator at America World and it was a little disappointing. The length of time to referral seems to be getting longer once again. When I first started this process it was between 7 to 9 months, then 10-12 months and now it could be 12-18+ based on the predictions. The reason for this has not been confirmed but speculations point to less children being abandoned(GOOD THING), more people adopting in China(GOOD THING) and more people from the US adopting(GOOD THING). I hate that I feel so bummed?
The up is that I am flying out to OMAHA, NE this weekend to be with the best friends a girl could ask for(see above). My PT schoolmates and I get together every Memorial Day for girl time and we have a blast. Above is a picture from our last Memorial Day! Pray for safe travels!

It's official I have a LID!!

I got and email from America World that my Group 262 has a Log In Date(LID) of 5.17.06!! This is the date that China officially enters us into their system. At the current processing times my referral should be this time next year. We can pray for a quicker time frame people! Anyway I purchased the above t-shirt online. It was an impulse purchase and I am not sure I will wear it any time soon. I am afraid it could evoke the comment "I thought you were pregnant" or "you are beginning to show" and this could shatter my so-so body image and self esteem! Ha! Anyway I think it will be fun to wear once I receive my referral or on the plane to China! At that point nothing could bring me down!

New Kitchen...Yumm-O!!

Well, I finally finished up painting the walls on my own. I love it!! I hope I can keep it this neat and clean!

Finally DTC!!!!(Dossier to China)

Well as we speak all of my paperwork is flying by a Fed-Ex jet to China! I will soon have a LID- log in date. This is the date that China officially signs me into adoption program. I feel that I have accomplished alot.
